Lodge
Third season - third accommodation. We moved again. Every year it is more work to move but every year we search for a better place.
Our base for the RestartSeason was a newly build house in the old part of Bakhmaro - acctually the landlord was just been able to continue construction because we payed the rent in September.
Again we had to move our bathroom-containers next to the house as the entire house has got just one toilet and one shower. The isolation could be improved and any
requests for a single room because someone is snoring have been pointless...
Freeriding
It was again a difficult season with a low snow base and rare snowfalls. However, we managed it to find for every group untacked slopes and fresh lines. In the 11th week we had to track
all the way to Meria Keli to find fresh lines. However, it was worth it. This high valley does get not a lot of wind and even after weeks without snowfall we found fluffy powder in this high
altitude north-facing slopes...
We had the best snow in December and March. Reason enough to promote these months more. It is worth coming so early or so late.
Pillow Hunters
Bakhmaro is a perfect location for pillow-hunters.
In the woods are hundrets of stumps, overthrown trees and rocks. All coverd by of loads of snow and the landings are nice and soft - you just need to try all of
them...
The Team
Our team is continuesly growing. We have now around 15 locals working for us. A lot of the first seaon are still on board like Aslan, Shota, Bacho, Eto and Geno. And of course we have some new team members like Meri and Aslan.
We hope to reinforce our team with more English speakers and skiers. Ilia joined us and our groups for some freeride runs. With enough time we will be able to develop a number of skiers who can support uns as tail guides and local embassadors.
